And I shall miss the wonderful stuff Joe posts. But the cluttering of these lists with nearly unintelligible posts from the message boards is driving me crazy. If I wanted to read message boards I would go read them. I have done so. But here, there's never any reference to the preceding message so usually they mean nothing. I know this discussion is over. but its the reason I'm leaving most rootsweb groups. And for this one, the merging of the two groups has meant wading through a lot more stuff I'm not interested in to the point where its just not worth it. And that discussion is over too I know. > To unsubscribe from CLARKE-D, send a message to > [email protected] > with the word unsubscribe in the body. You know I have done this twice and received confirmation twice that I am unsubscribed and yet these darn things keep coming. So whats the real trick to getting off this list? Lybolt, the wife of Alonzo Lybolt died at her home in Cahoonzie this morning of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Lybolt was born in the town of Highland, Sullivan County NY on March 18, 1837, and was therefore, past 76 years of age. She was the daughter of Wilmot Clark and Mary Van Auken Clark, and nearly 50 years ago was married to Alexander Simpson, who was a well-known hotel man in Sullivan county, and who afterwards conducted the hotel where C. L. Dedrick now lives in Sparrowbush, and the old Boulton Basin House, until the time of his death. The decedent continued to conduct that hotel after Mr. Simpson's death until she was married to Mr Lybolt in September 1885. One Sister, Martha Clark Avery, of Monticello, survives her; also an adopted daughter Frances Edwards, wife of Harry Henlon, of this city. There are also a number of nephews and nieces, children of deceased brothers and sisters. The funeral will occur at The residence Friday Afternoon at 2 PM. The internment will be in Sparrowbush Cemetery. ( No grave marker was found for Clara C. Lybolt in Sparrowbush Cemetery. It is possible that she is buried with Mathilde Ann Billings Lybolt, Alonzo's first wife. ) ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! 2. To the List: I wonder if anyone on the list has knowledge of the death date, will or probate of John Clark(e) of Stonington, CT, son of Timothy Clarke of Bristol, RI and Boston. John was born 1785 and may have died 1767 or 1772. I am trying to connect him to the Moses Clarke who went to Horton, Kings Co., NS in ca 1761, then to Yarmouth, NS ca 1767/8 and on the Queens, NB ca 1776. Moses would have been John Clarke and Lydia Andrews/Androus son Stonington is in New London county, CT and I know there were ads placed by NS government in 1759 offering grants in Horton. They were placed in New London newspapers. I am trying to get copies of the ads which list some of the planters. I could not find a probate or will in Stonington for John unfortunately when I looked at NEHGS in August. I would appreciate any ideas someone might have as to where he might have died if not Stonington. Thanks, Marilyn Brown [email protected]
