I am still looking for any information about a Ruth Mansfield Clark who had a baby in the Alexandria Virginia Hospital in January of 1933. After the birth of this baby girl she went back to Hoadly, Virginia which is in Prince William County. If any one has information about this lady or any family that was living in the Hoadly area at this time that could have known her I would appreciate hearing from you. She just could not have fallen off the face of this earth. Please if you have the littlest bit of information please get in touch with me. Shirley Reilly [email protected]

Hi list members, I'm posting this for Betsy at "M&B Tuttle" <[email protected]>. Jan in snowy VT Re: William Clark - born in Halifax, VT; died in Douglasville, GA I talked to Cenie Clark yesterday and she is the wife of our missing Uncle George! It was so thrilling to be able to talk with her. She filled in some blanks for us and will be sending pictures of him as soon as she is able. Genealogy can be so frustrating and so rewarding! Thanks again for your help! Below is a bit of his lineage. Sorry, I am not a professional..... John Henry Pease m. Ella Mina Nichols Mabel Lulu Leena Wallace Chester Clarence Henry Pease m. Della Leona Benson Walter Doris Mildred Ruth Elsie Kenneth Leslie Louise Percy Albert Pease m. Florence A. Rider (Ryder) Marion - adopted name Eve Harrington Ruth Maude Clayton - Adopted, new last name Fraser George - Adopted, new name George William Clark This has been an interesting family to research because of the adoptions, and because some of them changed their names. In spite of it all, the children of Percy and Florence have managed to find each other. This was largely due to years of hard work by one person, Kahontes. The pieces began to fall into place this summer. We believe there is a Native American connection in this family as there are cousins who are members of various tribes mainly within the Mohawk nation. This is our next goal, to find the connection. Thank you all for taking the time to read this, and for the pieces you have filled in for us. Keep up the great work! Betsy Tuttle [email protected] -Original message- This is what I found: Douglas County Sentinel; Douglasville, GA; February 26, 1976 CLARK Mr. George W. Clark, of 6282 Melrose Street, Douglasville, died Sunday, February 22, 1976. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, the former Cenie Barnes, Douglasville; Mr. & Mrs. Guadalupe Escamilla, Atlanta; Mr. Steve Clark, Lithia Springs; four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, February 24, at 11 a.m. from the Whitley and Tidwell Chapel. Rev. Milton Dwelle and Rev. E. L. McPherson officiated. Interment was in Sunrise Memorial Garden. Whitley and Tidwell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Hope it helps.
No, my Clarks are from Texas and I'm really having a time with them. However, I have just made contact with another branch of the family in Alberta, Canada, the HARRINGTON and the HAWMAN familys. Now I need to make contact with a source of research for the Canadian Indian tribes. If I can be of any help from Michigan feel free to let me know. [email protected] God Bless Richard E.
