He may have used the name Edward Clark. He worked as a cook in Kingston than moved to Winnipeg, married, and had at least one child named Pearl Clarke. I have access to a picture of Pearl taken when she was about 20. Edward H. Clarke apparently died in a fire in the United States, possibly Chicago or Detroit about 1943. I would like to know anything about his family, especially about Pearl Clark or Clarke, and exactly when, where he died, where he is buried, who his wife was, and any children.

My search of the Guilford County website turned up a Rehoboth ME, gravestone inscription for Rachel Clark, wife of John Clark, d: 18 may 1869, age 76 years. Sounds like you are confirming that this is Rachel Parker. the only other thing I have discovered about them is that they were Scots-Irish. Have you found more? And thank you for all the great info you have posted.

From other records I have found I am asuming that Isaiah's father was Jeptha Clark from Bangor, Maine. I do know that Isaiah married Nancy Bailey in 1825 in Washington Co., Ohio, and had the following children: Andrew Jackson (b. October 1827), Martha (b. abt 1835) , Mary (b. abt. 1838), Margaret (b. abt, 1841), Lucy (b., abt 1845) and Esther (b., 1850). There may have been been more children, but these are the only ones on the census records. Somewhere between 1840 and 1850, Isaiah moved from Washington County, Ohio to Athens County, Ohio.

Is there anyone on the list who is researching the descendants of Christopher Clark & Millicent (or Mildred) Terrell? More specifically, I am looking for anyone who has knowledge of their son Samuel Clark b. 05 Oct 1775. I have also seen 04 Oct 1774 given as his dob, however I have not seen any of his descendants listed anywhere, so far. I would like to rule out the possibility that this may be the same Samuel Clark b. 1775 VA who settled on Otter Creek in Wayne County, KY. I also would like to determine if Christopher Clark is the same who received early KY land grants. Thanks! Hello, I'd like to know if anyone has any information on a James CLARKE or CLARK who was married in Westport, MA, in 1829. He married Mrs. Rhoda LAVARE whose maiden name was Rhoda MANCHESTER. On the marriage records James listed his previous residence as Little Compton, RI. Nothing else is known about him. But, he probably died during the 1840's, as his wife and daughter are listed in the 1850 Census for Westport, MA, but he is not. As far as I know so far, James and Rhoda CLARKE had only one child, Mary Anna CLARKE/CLARK born in Westport in 1837. I don't know where or when, but Mary CLARK/E married John DEXTER from Killingly, CT. Just recently I heard that this couple was living in Westport, MA, possibly in the 1860's and into the 1870's. I do not know where they lived in the 1880's, but by 1890 they had moved to Melrose, MA. I also do not know about any children of John and Mary DEXTER. But in 1892, they adopted a girl who had just turned 3. And, they re-named the child, Mary Anna Clark DEXTER. They were Age 55 at the time. In 1899 Mrs. Mary Dexter died and was buried in Killingly, CT. Around the same time, John Dexter "disappeared into thin air." My newly found "distant cousin," Karen is researching Mrs. Rhoda LAVARE also. She is descended from the children of Rhoda's first marriage. Thank you for your time.
