Okay, you asked for it! My Grandparents, born and bred in the Border regions (Hawick, Scotland) Nesbit..... Scott INGLIS Glover I have read that INGLIS is associated with Douglas Clan, is this correct? I have read conflicting info on NISBET, some say it is a clan, others say not. My Nesbit married YOUNG, I have found clan info, but cannot know how reliable it is. Now to GLOVER, while I find then beginning circa 1600 in the Borders of Scotland, I have never found a family association, I would very much appreciate it if anyone can tell me either where to look for a history of this name, or impart some knowledge. Last, but not least, my family often used the term TRIBE in leu of CLAN for GLOVER, is there any foundation to this?
