My great great grandfather was named William Boyd and he came to Monongalia Co. Va. about 1810 from New Jersey. He had two brothers and two sisters. Names were Andrew, Archibald. Catherine and Margaret. Archibald and William served in the war of 1812 with a company from Mon. Co, Va. They both married in Mon Co. after they returned. William remained there till he died in 1856.
