Connie: I don't think our BOYD's are related....mine is a Nora Boyd md to Henry Magee in Ireland....came to Pennsylvania early....had a grist mill....refused to help colonials....put in prison and escaped....eventually made it to Halifax, Nova Scotia where a few years later he was reunited with his wife, Nora Boyd. Interesting thing, though....I also have a Healy line: I descend from John Slocombe who md. Experience Healy...her father was Paul Healy and mother Hannah Titus...goes further back. Any connections? Hullo Natalie... I have just moved to the village of Waipu in northern New Zealand, settled during the 1870's by a break away group from the Church of Scotland led by the Rev. Norman McLeod. In this migration to NZ from Nova Scotia were Boyd family, though not my own. There are in this area still Boyd folk, in fact a Boyd Road, and I wonder if you perhaps are related to these Boyd's from Nova Scotia. They are only a phone call away, so if you wish , and they have an internet connection, you could be put in touch with them. Regards Ross Boyd Waipu New Zealand. ----- Original Message ----- From: "natalie" <Natwick@comcast.net> To: <CLANBOYD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 14, 2004 3:43 PM Subject: Re: [ClanBoyd] Welcome Thomas J.
