I'm connected to early NC Boyds misspelled "BOYT" in early records. Ephraim and Elemuel BOYT are names that resurface as BOYDS in 1820's Franklin Co. MO, near St. Louis. They are listed in 1783 tax list and 1790 census in the Wilmington District, Duplin Co., NC. Someone out there in the "trees" has an unverified listing of Ephraim Boyd's parents as Thomas BOYD and Susannah NORTON. If I'm ever able to locate other descendents, it will open a large door in my brick wall. Does anyone have more info? Thanks, Mike Boyd St. Louis, MO
