What county are you looking in? There are several William Boyd and Robert Boyd entries to be found in NC in 1790. (Boyd, not Boid). I have a William Boyd who had a son born ca 1784 in Burke Co., NC and did in MS ca 1825. Would that be the one? Vivian in TX
