I am seeking information on Samuel Boyd Sr. b 1763 in Lancaster Co Pennsylvania and died Dec 24, 1856 in Daviess Co Ind. He is buried in Good Hope Cemetery Daviess Co Ind. He married Jane Moore Sept 2 1799 in Northumberland Co Pa. She was born est 1771 in Ireland and died Aug 30 1844 possibly in Tuscarawas Co Ohio..On Samuel Boyd Sr tombstone it is marked that his fathers name was Thomas Boyd. Samuel Boyd Sr served in the revolutionary war per DAR records lists him as serving in the Lancaster Co Pa militia. Before moving to Daviess Co Ind in est 1845..he and wife and family lived in Brooks Co. Va, and in est 1806 Harrison Co Ohio and moving to Tuscarawas Co Ohio est 1830 or 1840. They had these children: Mary Boyd Pa never married Margaret Boyd married John McGonagle Eliza Jane Boyd married Samuel Eaton Samuel Boyd Jr married Eliza Christy and Maria Malone James Boyd m Maria Barger Robert Boyd m Mary Jane Vaughan Sarah Boyd never married Albert Boyd married Rachel Eaton Thomas Boyd married Catherine Kent William Boyd married Barbara Shaffer Many of the children moved to the Daviess Co Ind. area. James (died in Cadiz Ohio buried in Old Cadiz Cem) Thomas and Robert died in either Tuscarawas Co Ohio or Harrison Co Ohio.
