He moved out with his sister Mary Jane Jones and her family. I believe her husband may have received a land grant for his 1812 service. The James who was born in VA is briefly listed, as having married and had male issue. His son, George W, is the only one listed with his children. He lived in Tyrone Twp, Fayette Co. You might find him in the land records, as it says he had his own farm. I have found in several of my family lines that the men from VA were given land grants in what is now Illinois. Some settled in Sagamon (spelling?) Co in the part now Logan Co. You might look there for ;your ancestor.
