I have two Curtis lines...the line I married into were from New England, and my paternal line in VA. Most of the Curtis lineage in VA seemed to come from one man, Job Curtis. What they were trying to do, was connect people on-line, thru DNA to Job Curtis. The problem I had with it was, I already know the two different lineages, and DNA wouldn't add much. I guess it would help if a person wasn't sure of a connexion.
