    3. Hi! I just joined this list so I thought that I would post my BOYD information and see if I can connect up with any other researchers on my particular Boyd lineage. My grandmother, DORIS Boyd, was born in Elizabeth, NJ to ROY Earl Boyd and Ethel POTTS Boyd. ROY was b. in 1898 in Roanoke, VA to JACOB HENRY Boyd and Minnie Pearl SNYDER Boyd. JACOB was born in 1874 in Martinsburg, Berkeley Co, WVA and Minnie was born in Roanoke, VA. Jacob and Minnie had the following children: Leonia, Roy, William, Cecil and Walter. This family left Roanoke, went to Ohio briefly (around the turn of the century), went to NJ and eventually settled in Easton, PA and then Adams Co., PA. As a side note, Jacob pitched for the Washington Senators from 1895-1896. JACOB died in 1932 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Adams Co, PA (Gettysburg). JACOB was born to JOHN (prob. F) Boyd and PHILIPENA C. Boyd. Her maiden name could possibly have been Campbell. JOHN F. BOYD was born abt. 1840 in MD. Philipena was born between between 1846 - 1850 in MD. They had the following children: Anna/Annie, John F/T Jr., Oscella (f), Jacob Henry (above), Daniel and CW. This couple lived in WVA and Roanoke (at least.) I have found a John Boyd, b. abt. 1840 in the 1850 census in BALTIMORE, MD with a Robert (b. 1817) and Mary Boyd. I know that John's mother is Mary because she was living with him in his 1880 census (she was remarried to a Lewis WEBB.) Perhaps this is them? I have also found a John Boyd, b. abt. 1840, in the 1860 census, no mother or father but a JOHN Boyd, 72, b. Scotland was head of the house. Besides the John Boyd in this house, there is a daughter named Mary in both of these censuses, 4 years younger than John. So, now that I've confused everyone, please let me know if you recognize any of these names or locations. I do have marriage registers, licenses, etc. that I'd be happy to share. Happy Hunting! 2. John Boyd
    3. Kim, Unfortunately, I don't seem to have any of your family in the Boyd Trees Project. However, if you send me a GEDCOM or FTM file of them, then I could include them as well. Boyd Trees is a data base devoted to any family tree that includes the surname BOYD. Stop by and take a look at what we do have: http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=boyd-trees John H. Boyd "Do your cousins know who and where you are?
