    3. Hi Judy, I have Boyd's in Ala. My Grandfather Stanley Ezell Boyd married my Grandmother Letha Ellen Green in Jefferson County Ala. Early 1900's. He was not from Ala. She was, her family tree were Green, White, Malone's. My Dad was born in Johns Ala. Not a lot of info about my Grandfather seems he list his birthplace as Canada in the 1930 census. Thanks, Linda in Mississippi -----Original Message----- From: JodieK444@aol.com [mailto:JodieK444@aol.com] Sent: Friday, April 29, 2005 2:15 PM To: CLANBOYD-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [Boyd] Boyd marriage in Alabama I have no idea who this Boyd is, but there were several in Cleburne County. I would be very interested if someone could enlighten me. Candace Teal Gravelle has been posting messages from this newspaper which begin in the late 1800s. These messages would be stored in the archives of the ALCLEBURNE-L@rootsweb.com mailing list. Several Boyds have been mentioned. To view the archives (or search them), go to Rootsweb's home page (www.rootsweb.com) and click on Mailing Lists at the top, then > Regional > Alabama > Cleburne (or something close to that). I believe these Boyds may have come from Troup/Meriwether in Georgia. Any clues appreciated. I collect info on any and all SC to Georgia-Alabama Boyds. Thanks, Judy K. in Newnan, GA >From The Cleburne News (Cleburne County, Alabama) Issue of Thursday, February 26, 1920 BOYD-BEASON MARRIAGE Mr. Editor, You just ought to have been with this writer on Wednesday, February 18th, for he had one of the pleasant expereinces of the life time. It was the occasion of the marriage of Mr. H.G. Boyd and Miss Fay Beason. This event happened at the home of the bride's father, Mr. B.T. Beason at Beason's MIlls. This unusually popular couple were married at the hour of 4:45 p.m. in the presence of admiring friends and the ceremony was pronounced by the writer in his awkward way. Then followed one of the most sumptious suppers you ever sat down to. I never thought about you at all that time for I had all I could think of then. This happy couple start out in life with the best wishes of their many friends and bid fair to live long useful lives. May the blessings of the lord be upon them in al their ways and bring them into the harbor of life everlasting in the sweet "bye and bye". G.B.
