    3. Howard, I am trying to sort the Chester Co. Boyd's to find the father of Alexander Boyd, Frances Boyd, and possibly Hugh Boyd. Don't know if there are other siblings. This group was in the Chester Co. area when Chester Co. extended down into MD and claimed part of Cecil Co. There is clear evidence that these Boyd's went back and forth within this 2 state area many times. I suspect that the father to this group was either a Robert or Hugh ( welcome to the Boyd's). Alexander was born about 1712 - 1715 don't know if that was in this country or the "old" country, what ever that is!! The family tradition is that the Boyd's are Irish, but I am reserving thoughts on that.
