In your post about Robert Boyd, you mentioned John Boyd, Sr.'s son, John, called Johnny Buckles, being in Kentucky. Is anything further known about this son John? I have a John Boyd married to Ann ?? located in what was eventually Logan Co., Kentucky. There is an Andrew Boyd nearby. They are on 1794 tax list there & probably before Logan Co. formed. They are on 1800 census there. John had one known son, Andrew, who married Sarah Andrews. By 1811, they had all moved to the New Madrid, Missouri area. Is it possible that my John could be connected to your Boyds? Leslie
The John Boyd who m. Ann may be my John, who m. Ann Bone. He was in KY for a while. The Andrew may be his uncle, brother of his father who was named guess what? Robert Boyd. This Robert, my 3g grandfather, started in Chester Co. PA, lived for a while in Ireedell Co. NC, ended up in Davidson Co. TN where he died in 1793. Brother Andrew ended up in Maury Co. TN, and the son John died in IL. I do not know of any connections between this family and the KY Boyds under discussion. But there were plenty of Boyds of this family back in Chester Co. who have not been traced. Howard V.
