Hi Rich, I have a similar problem. My Alexander Boyd is in Cecil Co. MD in 1780 (will probate) with a wife Margaret (will). But I have not been able to find any information that tells me who Alexander's parents might be or exactly from where or when he/they came to America. I believe that Alexander was a brother to Hugh Boyd from Chester Co. PA and he appoints his brother Frances as his executor. The names in Hugh's family are the same as the names in Alexander's family for the children and I have not seen any additional information on Frances. He might be the key to this family.
