My Alexander Boyd b. abt 1727 had a brother Francis that was the executor of Alexander"s estate. However there is Hugh Boyd with a will in Chester Co. PA, that has children all with the same naming pattern as Alexander's and names a Robert Finley (son-in-law) as a co-executor. A Robert Finley is later part of the estate of Alexander's family. All the area in which these families are living is next door to New Jersey. Alexander Boyd is on the Clan Boyd site, that John Boyd maintains. As well as information in these archives. William Boyds sons were named John, William, James(my gr grandfather), and Cornelius. Cornelius was named ( most likely ) after Rebecca's brother by the same name. I think that William's dad was named Andrew but I am not sure. Wm. is about 39 yrs old in 1810 census so I figure his dad was born around 1750 or before.
