There is an LDS Family History Center here in Newport News, VA. I have found some material there that I didn't have before. I had an interesting day: I received a letter from an old colonial parish here in Matthews County, VA saying that they had my gr. grandfather, Asbury McKendree Boyd recorded as buried at a small country church now known as St. James but formerly Trinity Church, part of a larger parish named Kingston. I'd looked for the Trinity Church but since it no longer exists as such couldn't find it. Today my sister and I went to the St. James (formerly Trinity) cemetery and after much searching, sure enough there it was beside his second wife, Mary Mason Roy Boyd. I don't think anyone on this clan ring is connected except collaterally but it's exciting to find something you've just heard about. Anna Grace Boyd Foster
