Is anyone related to the Northumnerland Co, PA Boyds? My great grandfather was Hugh Boyd and he and his family lived there back in 1840s. He had brothers, William, Robert, Albert (my grandfather), James, Joseph, John, Catherine, Garfield, Edgar, Ann, Mary, Samuel, David and Jennie. It has been rumored that one or more may have been involved with the Molly Maguires. A Boyd was hanged during the revolt era against the owners of the coal miners and the subsequent trials.
