Hi List, I am trying to find where James Boyd and Margaret Lewis were married. I know their families were in and around the Chester District of SC before 1800. However, there is a listing for their marriage date on the North Carolina Marriages list of Ancestry.com. The County is listed as "South" and the state is "NC". They married in 1805. Can anyone help me with this????? Is there a North Carolina researcher out there that can tell me about "South" NC? By the way - there were four different marriages listed as "South" NC: James Boyd and Margaret Lewis - 1805 Nancy Jane Boyd and Robert Wier/Weir - 1800 Malindah Boyd and William C. Queen - 1840 Rachel Elizabeth Boyd and James Alexander Downing - 1845 What about ClanBoyd??? Can you help??? Hello List- I am looking for information about an Annie Boyd from Kilmarnock who married a John McMurray also from Kilmarnock in 1866 and came to NY/NJ in 1890. They had numerous children - Mary, James, Elizabeth, Ann, Andrew, Alexander, Janet, Isabella, and Jessie (my grandmother), some born in Kilmarnock, some born in Antrim, one born in NY. Annie's parents were Andrew Boyd and Isabella Williamson, both of Kilmarnock, and Andrew's parents were Thomas Boyd and Mary McJanet. Annie had at least one brother Thomas whom I believe also came to NY. We have been looking for more information for some time about them, and I am hoping that someone here might know anything about this line? Thanks, Janet Hallahan

My gggfather was adopted by a family in point Levis between 1840 and 1845 but I'm not sur. My last name is come from this family and now, after many research I think my real last name is deboyd or boyd. When my gggfather come in America is parernt died on the sea and he arrived in Quebec only with is sister namev Lea and the name of my gggfgather is Charles and he's born in 1830( I fond is bird date in recensment 1901) The only thing I know is by my grand father said me when I was 10 years old « Thompson deboyds » .
