That is how most of my lines are doing the DNA thing, its true. But I wonder if any one is doing the female lines. It grates to not be able to participate. I have no male relatives who maintain the surname on any of my lines, so cannot take part. Fellow Listers: Mitochondrial DNA (for females) is far more expensive and cannot be compared to male DNA tests. I have been followinf several other surname lines that are heavily involved in this type of testing (male lines only) and as far as I can see, it only serves to enrich the testing agency. You will not prove too much one way or the other and you will be out all that money. It still comes down to documentation in the end.
