I am looking for descendents of H. H. Boyd and Pearl Kerr. I have very little info on them. I think H. H. and his name may have been Hezekiah House or Hanse but I think he went by a nickname of Ted or they may have had a son named Ted. There were also some children named Nancy and Giles. They lived in the Dallas TX area around 1910. He was listed on the 1910 census as H Hanse Boyd. His parents were K.Y Boyd and Louisa. If you have any information on this family please e-mail me at Knottpage@comcast.net Thanks a lot for your help. L Page
Does anyone on the list use a Panasonic Printer model KX-P7100? This is a black and white printer with duplex that prints on both sides automatically. If anyone has this printer would you please contact me? Rich Boyd, Listowner
Sorry.. Can't assist in that area at all, as have no info or data which would be useful. You just answered my question. My Matilda died in 1854, I have her probate papers. RATS!!! Lanita www.lanitasloft.com Shake your family tree and watch the nuts fall!
Ross: Something else I would like to throw out here. I have Henry Magee's Loyalist claims papers....in it, he says he is from Enniskillen, Fermanaugh, Ireland. On his tombstone in Nova Scotia it says he was from Armagh. I do my research with BOTH areas in mind...but what would be your assessment? Perhaps he was born in Armagh but lived in Enniskillen and left from there on his journey to America. To date I have nothing that pinpoints the birth place or marriage place of Henry Magee and Nora Boyd. Any suggestions would be helpful. Gaye, I would be very interested in your Mary Boyd b20 May 1812 TN... mine was Matilda, but there are some Mary Matildas in my lines, and I am wondering if we are talking about the same. My Matilda was b. in Davidson Co. or Williamson Co. in 1812.. could it be that we have a match?? Lanita www.lanitasloft.com Shake your family tree and watch the nuts fall!
Would you please post the BOYD website url... some of us are not familiar with it. Thanks, Lanita www.lanitasloft.com Shake your family tree and watch the nuts fall!
Hi...thank you for answering my querie. I don't think I would be related to those Boyds....but only because Henry Magee and Nora Boyd were married in Ireland and came to America as a couple. To date I do not have evidence that any brothers of hers came to America with them. I would still be interested in finding out, however, so if you could connect me with those people there I would love it! Hi Natalie.. Thanks for the call. From memory the majority of the Waipu emmigration came from the Isle of Lewis, or thereabouts. However, I'll call these folk now I have your email address, and ask if they are on the net, and if they are interested in making contact re the Nova Scotia connection. Just a thought, there is in the village an active Geneology group who meet regularly, and their email address would be www.waipumuseum.org, and I'm sure that there would be an interest. One way or the other, we'll get something going for you... Hi Zoanne Seems like the practice of recycling family christian names died out quite a time back, and a whole new era of new and interesting original names became the norm. My name was picked by my parents so that the kids at school couldn't shorten it, so instead they made it longer. All the best now... R J Boyd NZ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Z. Natalie, I really can't say on the Healey line as I really haven't done any research on them. All I know is that Mary' s parents are Helen Naughton and Michael Healey and Mary was about about 1872 in Ireland and died Nov 1941. She married my G-Grandfather's brother Frederick Charles Boyd on September 02, 1898 in Worcester. Mary Healey 1930 Worcestershre, MA Census, District 52 April 9, 1930 Mass Dist 14-52, Sheet B, Block 109, Lived on Arthur St., Age 57, Mary J. age 54, Worked for Drake Ice, Image 24 of 57. My Boyds came from Northern Ireland>Canada>Lisbon NY> and then Frederick Charles somehow ended up living in Worcester and work for the Drake Ice Co. They had one daughter Lizzie M. who was born December 25, 1899 in Worcester. Connie
Connie: I don't think our BOYD's are related....mine is a Nora Boyd md to Henry Magee in Ireland....came to Pennsylvania early....had a grist mill....refused to help colonials....put in prison and escaped....eventually made it to Halifax, Nova Scotia where a few years later he was reunited with his wife, Nora Boyd. Interesting thing, though....I also have a Healy line: I descend from John Slocombe who md. Experience Healy...her father was Paul Healy and mother Hannah Titus...goes further back. Any connections? Jane, Lots of Tennessee Boyds on the Boyd website and on the Boyd Trees site. I can search by Tennessee or you can check for your specific family. I have Ephriam L Boyd b September 16, 1810 in , Jackson, Tn, married to Martha Johnson, for example. John H.
