My ggg-grandfather was Nathan William Boyd. He was born c. 1846 in Alabama and left by his parents with a family (Loftis) in Henry County, Alabama. According to family lore, his parents were "horse thieves and run out of NC." Headed to Texas, they traveled through Alabama (through Huntsville and down though Henry County). According to the 1850 Henry County census, "Nathan Boid," age 4, was born in Alabama. According to the 1870 Barbour County census, Nathan's parents were both born in Georgia. I'm trying to find Nathan William Boyd's birth parents. Help?
My name is Mae Genell Boyd Maxwell. I have info about my Boyd line at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/m/a/x/Genell-Maxwell-TX/index html. From what I have been reading in some of the Clan Boyd mail, I think I am related to some of you. Check my info out and tell me what you think. Genell

If either of these names are familiar email me. I think you have already talked to my cousin Jim Boyd from Frostproof Florida. Thank you for listening Chuck

He left Sunday from Anchorage, Alaska, for Winchester, VA. for intake, so he's either in Germany or Kuwait today. The Army wants him to do some computer work in Kuwait before he goes on to Baghdad, again. I don't want to take computer time away from the List & your genealogy. Kyle is like me, very interested in family history, and terribly patriotic. He graduated with a masters from Stephen Austin Univ., TX....I think his Texas gun-fighter 3rd gr.grand father would be proud of him. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen McMillan" <diggingupbones@cfl.rr.com> To: <CLANBOYD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2005 9:07 PM Subject: RE: [Boyd] Re: Kyle > Keep us all posted on where he is! > > -----Original Message----- > From: Jan Curtis [mailto:jcurtis@infowest.com] > Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2005 11:02 PM > To: CLANBOYD-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [Boyd] Re: Kyle > > Rich - just wanted you to know my young son, Kyle, just left again Sunday > for Baghdad.
