Would anyone have any information about Irish soldiers from Paterson , NJ? I hope to verify that Martin Donohue served. I found Martin Donahoe on the 1890 Veterans Schedule. He is in Passaic County page 1 Paterson Twp. Ed.6 ID#NJ2167735. Martin Donahue enlisted in the NJ Light Artillery 9/3/61. Martin Donahue enlisted as a substitute in the 8th Infantry March 15 , 1865. The Passaic Hist. Soc. website indicates the latter 2 are the same. My Martin lived in Paterson the entire time in the US. The NARA says they have no pension. Can anyone help me connect the dots?
