I am searching for information on James Monroe McGuire. He served in Paulding County,GA in Freeman Infantry,Company C, 22nd Regiment for the entire war. I have been to the archives in Atlanta and found his service records, but I found nothing that gives any personal information. Does anyone know where I might look to find out if he was asked to supply "next-of-kin"?? His wife died before him, and there is no evidence of a pension being applied for. Thanks.........Gwen
