Kimmswick Mo. will host it's annual Civil War event Saturday & Sunday, August 12 - 13. Confederate & Union soldier camps will be featured from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on both days. A skirmish will be held on Market street near the old bridge at 1:00 PM both days. Soldiers will set up ambushes & will partrol the grounds looking for spies. Storyteller Diane Moran will appear at 5:30 PM. on Saturday performing the "Pilot Knob Story" followed by a three piece band that will perform Civil War era music. A Sunday non-denominational Civil War style church service will also be held. This event is free & open to the public. If you go, it would be wise to bring your own chairs.
