Hi List, l am looking for information on Charles Mason Emerson, he was a "volunteer" in the Virginia 8th, Company D or G. He supposedly deserted, and became an informer for the Union. l can't remember where l read this, but think it was in one of the Civil War books l have. l had made a note of it, and just ran across it today.
