    3. Oh JOY!! I went back and tried again, this time just typing in the last name and not typing in a state of service. I got a LOT of listings of a John H. Moody, but TWO of them I'm sure are my gggrandfather - one in an Unassigned U.S. Volunteer Infantry, and the other in the 2nd U.S. Volunteer Infantry. The 2nd was one of the regiments recruited from Rock Island. THANK YOU!! You are an angel!
