FOUND IN THE NOV 14 1890 NY HERALD ISSUE: INSPECTING THE 14TH REGIMENT: The annual inspection of the 14 regiment was held at the armor, NORTH PORTLAND AVE and Ashland Place, last night. Assistant State Inspector Col. Thomas H. McGrath and Capt. William Cochran, of the 2nd Brigade Staff, were the inspecting officers. Brigadier General James McLeer and Col. John B. Frothingham were present. Col. Michell had 506 out of his 586 men present.
