Thank you, Derick, for this information. I hate to show my ignorance about the Civil War and I hope I don't receive 1,000 E mails about this, but was KY Cav. Confederate troops? I assume it is Confederate because my father's Cook ancestors from GA fought for the Confederacy and my great grandmother Perrigo's family I assume would have done the same.
