Thank you for the link to Rafael's website. Have seen it before and got all involved in it again last night with the other links from it. Now that I've seen his latest muskets for sale I have another question for him abt the New Jersey Militia. I noticed he states that the Colt special model musket's marked NJ were for the NJ Militia and I've been trying to find out what i can abt them since I own one of these muskets. From what I understand so far they were not active during the War between the States. If anyone can provide differant information on this please pickup on the subject. As to your ceremony on a Confederate's grave at Shiloh. Was he buried in the main cemetery? I dont remember many if any Confederate dead there. Only the mass grave in the woods at Duncan field ( Hornets Nest). Do you know of a list of Confederate dead who were buried at Shiloh without having to find each and every units history that was there? Looking for a relative that was supposed to be buried there. No idea as to who he was with other than Confederate (Tn or Ms). Albert Price Brooks is all I have. Thanks again, Ed
I am keeping a list of those Confederates who were killed during the battle at Shiloh and are buried there. So far, counting your relative, I have 104, mostly names that people have given me. I have a long way to go. I don't know any other method of finding these names.
