    1. [CIVIL-WAR] LASLIE/45th & 23rd AL
    2. I have located the card information for J. LASLIE, 45th AL Infantry, Co. E., and his son, A. M. LASLIE, 23rd AL Infantry, Co., B, I. They are both on Film M374 roll 25. This information is from the National Park Service website. Is it likely if we order the complete record from NARA ($17 each) that we will learn much more than was on the card? We did not locate a widow's pension application card for either of them. It took us a few years to even locate any information on them because the family actually spells the name LESLIE. John LESLIE is buried in the Old Confederate Cemetery in Union Springs, AL. His tombstone reads "John LESLIE, 45h AL Co E." His son, A. M. (Alexander McCaskill) LESLIE went to Illinois at the end of the war and lived there until his death in 1929. He is buried in Morrisonville, Illinois. Thanks for any help! Evelyn Leslie Remlap, AL
