Family history says he was a Sergeant in the 17th Battalion from Georgia. He signed up at etowah. I am trying to find some leads so that I can research him further. I am wondering if he might be on any list you might have. He was supposedly with Jefferson's infantry. I don't know anything about the 17th so hope some of this makes since.
