The e-bay page does not state that this is a grave marker, but instead a commemorative plaque. Besides it sounds like the "concerned relative" is not so concerned after all. This doesn't sound like a grave marker at all, it seems to be exactly what it is stated to be, a commemorative plaque. We sell and buy commemorative coins, and other commemorative items...so maybe you all should go help save the whales or something...and mind your own business....ever thought of that?? hummmmm? ________________________________________________ I would be the "concerned relative" and the grave marker, and it's obvious to anyone with any knowledge at all about grave markers and Civil War items that it is indeed a grave marker. The photos on eBay and not the description is what makes it clear that it's a grave marker. The sellers know it's a grave marker and that is exactly why they described it as a plaque instead of a grave marker. They know what they have and they know it's in violation of eBay's policies to have it posted on eBay.... I notice several things quite interesting about your small minded post to this List. You say, "we sell and buy commemorative coins and other commemorative items"... So do the two men who own the antique shop who have this grave markers listed among the many items that they have on bay.... You also use AOL and so do the two men who own the shop that have the grave marker for auction on bay. I'm an All's and I know, just like you know that we can have as many as seven screen names. We can delete them and make up new ones every day of the week too.... I also notice that you're a member of a Civil War List and you make a post to a List that's concerned with Civil War memorabilia to tell me to mind my own business and go save the whales?… I am minding my own business. Captain F. W. Schemer is a distant relative and I think it's disgraceful what the sellers of the grave marker are doing.... I also sign my name to these posts, just like I signed my name to every post on the Schaefer Rootsweb Board and to the Schaefer List about this grave marker.... A genealogical researcher's mind functions similar to the mind of a detective. Perhaps you are also minding your business in this rude post you sent to this List. Perhaps you're the seller of the grave marker.... Did anyone else on the List get that idea? And as this rude person who didn't sign their name would say.... Ever thought of that?? Hmm ????............................... Sherri Schaefer Bagby
