    3. Sharon and Janet, Thanks for the kind words. We all have to keep in mind that even though my research is focused here at Andersonville, those who died in all pow sites,,,,Union/ Confederate/WWl/WWll/Korea/Vietnam/Gulf1 and Iraq all paid the price of our freedoms. Andersonville National POW site is dedicated in the memory of ALL American POWS. A reminder that my research is free for the asking. Kevin Please visit my website dedicated to those Americans who were imprisoned and died in captivity while in the service to our country Kevin Frye Local Andersonville Historian / National Park Service Volunteer http://www.angelfire.com/ga2/Andersonvilleprison/index.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "sharon cox" <olliecox@mrtc.com> To: <CIVIL-WAR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2003 10:47 PM Subject: Re: [CIVIL-WAR] Scraping the bone? > Kevin, I had to tell you I checked out your site tonight, couldn't see it to > well for the tears, if you all haven't been there you need to see this > awesome site, I had ancestors on both sides of this war and nothing I have > ever read has hit home like this site has, Pray to God our country never > goes through anything like this again and bring home the boys who are off > fighting now. > Good Job Kevin > Sharon > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Kevin Frye" <frye@gnat.net> > To: <CIVIL-WAR-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2003 10:13 PM > Subject: Re: [CIVIL-WAR] Scraping the bone? > > > > Scurvy ( AKA SCORBUTUS ) was caused by the complete lack of vitamin C. > The > > total lack of vegitables was the cause.
