Here is a site with some photos of Gen. Rousseau. You may be able to increase the size with the Microsoft Power Toy photo program. It is supposed to be pretty good. http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/lhrousea.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kennth Russeau" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, July 28, 2006 11:21 AM Subject: [CIVIL-WAR] Me, > Helo I'm back! From: "Kennth Russeau" <[email protected]> > My ggt. granpa, Charles Sancrainte > recieved the medal of honor, I am looking for a picture of him. ------------------------------ Hi Ken, I tried hallofheroes.com but no pix there. There's a book at the local library on ACW MOH receipients from MI which has some photoes or at least sketches; I'll try to check it out tomorrow. Found something that seems to imply C.S. was living in Trenton NJ when the medal was awarded, and he did die in Buffalo in 1910. Maybe that's the places to look. Dennis

Did some more poking around for info on Charles Sancrainte. The SUVCW grave registration database says he's buried at German/French Cemetery in Cheektowaga, Erie Co, NY. B 28 Feb 1838, D 11 May 1918 (differs from what Ancestry says; enlisted 24 Dec 1861, discharged 24 Dec 1864. Says he was Pvt in Co B, 24th MI (definite goof here - s/b Co B, 15th MI. Dennis
