    3. I recently bought a picture from ebay because I just didnt want it going to just any body. Kind of silly I know but I do not know who he is. I have scanned the picture which is an original 3X5. It also has a 2cent bank check stamp on back of picture. The photographer on back is E. A. Barnwell, Decatur, Ill. The stamp has written initials on it EAB in cursive. It is a Union Soldier photograph cut into a circular shape and applied to a paper 3x5 frame. If anyone would like to see this pic email me. I am going to do a google search on this photographer and this Decatur, Ill to see what troops might have came from there. I know nothing about Illionois troops. I will gladly send this picture free of charge to a family that can claim this soldier but I dont see how you could. Or I will also send it to a Historical Society in Decatur Ill if someone can send me in the right direction. Or even a Civil War Society that will appreciate it. Thank you, Sandra Jones --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo! Mail Beta.

Macon Co Historical Society, Decatur IL: http://www.mchsdecatur.org/main.htm Decatur Genealogical Society: http://www.rootsweb.com/%7Eildecgs/index.htm Also, there's the US Army Military History Institute at Carlisle PA: http://carlisle-www.army.mil/usamhi/Collection_Overview.htm#CivilWarPhotos They boast the largest collection of CW photos in the world. IIRC, the collection was a joint project with Civil War Times Illustrated. I forget the details of submitting, whether you get the original back or what. Suggest you drop them a line: [email protected] Dennis
