Would anyone know of a published book, or printed list of the names of those that died in the Civil War that were from Bedford County, TN? My gr gr grandfather Patrick Fay, died in 1865, at the age of 51. I can find no record of him other than information from his grave marker. It states that he was born in Co.Galway, Ireland Mar. 10, 1814, Emigrated in 1837, Married in 1845 and died Aug. 25, 1865 and interred in Old City Cemetery, Shelbyville, Bedford County, TN.
