Benjamin BAUMGARDNER was born in 1836 in Ohio, the son of David and Rebecca (Johnson) BAUMGARDNER. As of 1860 he was living in Rome IA and I am told he died in the Civil War in 1863. I have looked all over online for any information on him and have found nothing. Another family member wrote to the government about it and also received no information.
