Benjamin BAUMGARDNER was born in 1836 in Ohio, the son of David and Rebecca (Johnson) BAUMGARDNER. As of 1860 he was living in Rome IA and I am told he died in the Civil War in 1863. I have looked all over online for any information on him and have found nothing. Another family member wrote to the government about it and also received no information. BAUMGARDNER is misspelled so many ways that is all I can think of may be the problem. Any ideas how I could locate information on this man? Thank you for your time!
