Have a query about the existence of coin commemorating "The First Defenders". The First Defenders were the five companies from Pennsylvania that were the first regiments to reach Washington, DC. Namely: the Ringgold Light Artillery, led by Captain M'Knight, of Reading; the Logan Guards, Captain Selheimer, of Lewistown; the Washington Artillery, Captain Wren, of Pottsville; the National Light Infantry, Captain M'Donald, of Pottsville; and the Allen Rifles, CaptainYeager, of Allentown.
