However some of the pictures and miniatures show gray trousers and the Union blue coats/jackets. Also some show the grey/white "chaps" over the army boots. Maybe some of these are "afterthought" colors, but they do appear--at least in colorized pictures of the Iron Brigade. Like most regiments/brigades, the colors depended for the most part on the colors available when the uniforms were issued. Dennis J.
