Thomas, Thank you for asking. My fees are as follows: For obtaining copies of Compiled Military Service Records (CMSR): Search the Index to the CMSR: $15.00. Copy the CMSR: $15.00 If you order both, the cost will be $20.00, which includes copying up to 30 pages and postage up to 1 lb. Additional copies are charged at $0.35/page and postage over 1 lb is charged at the direct rate. For copies of Union Pension Files: Search the Index to military Pensions: $15.00. Request and copy a Pension File: $25.00 If you order both, the cost will be $30.00, which includes copying up to 30 pages and postage up to 1 lb. Like the CMSR, additional copies are charged at $0.25/page and postage over 1 lb is charged at the direct rate. For all other records, I charge $20.00/hour plus expenses. Expenses include: Copying: Paper to paper: $0.15 per page Microfilm to paper: $0.30 per page Scan to paper: $0.50 per page. The Archives recently instituted a policy requiring outsized pages and bound documents/ledgers be scanned rather than photocopied. Postage. Again thanks for inquiring. I look forward to hearing from you.
