Anyone know of a readable list of the POWs at Rock Island. The microfilm I have seen is hard to decipher. I am trying to verify if my ancestor James H Hendricks from a Tenn Cav unit was imprisoned there. Thanks for any suggestions. Ed Burke, Massachusetts In "Confederate POWs" Rock Island lists two Hendricks, both named Samuel. HENDRICKS, Samuel, Pvt., Co. E, 12th Battn. Tenn Cav. died 2/19/1864, grave # 523 HENDRICKS, Samuel, Pvt., Co. H, 4th Tenn died 7/29/1864, grave # 1386 Confederate POW index doesn't show a James Hendricks of any spelling at Rock Island. --Derick
