On a thought, I entered Spet 10 1863 in the Andersonville database to see if any Union prisoners were captured on that date. I know you are looking for a Confederate , but we all know prisoners were taken all the time on both sides at the same battles. There are 44 on record here at Andersonvilel that were captured on that date at a place named Graysville Georgia. Graysville is a small town located about 12 miles or so to the North East from Chickamauga National Battlefield just below the Georgia Tennessee state lines. This tidbit might help as a clue in your search. Kevin--Can you check the data base for Sept 13? that seems to be the date of capture, not Sept 10.
