Everyone, I just joined the list because I transcribed a few pages from an old diary I recently found. It appears to have been written by someone from the Fauquier County area of Virginia who drove cattle for the Confederate Army. It would appear it was written during April of 1862 and mentions a few things about the Army and its movements from the peninsula (Yorktown) back up to Richmond. If anyone has any info after reading this diary, I would love to add to it. Thanks!
