My dear CW Friends: I haven't forgotten our discussions, and most definitely have not forgotten good caring Civil War aficionados! I hope that term "CW aficionados" doesn't offend someone, and, if so please let me know and out the door it will go - grin. There's another acronym? CW... sure helps on my typing and mind because I get tired of typing "Civil War" at least 50 times in a day let alone what it does to my mind in a day - grin. But if it's okay with everyone, I have begun to like using CW in my vocabulary - grin. But, of course, I understand "out of respect" I should never be tired of writing the words "Civil War" what with all the lives that were sacrificed so I could enjoy Life. Seems like I've been out on the battlefields - esp. in the real World - but I've only been away two weeks? Well, three. And I truly like American history - grin. At first it was a scary road for me. Being alone all the time, but then I felt a strong connection with the boys/men fighting - I really can't call it that - for what each one believed was right in their minds and esp. in their Hearts! Is what our men feel they do in Iraq the same as what the men felt in CW days? Whether you are thousands of miles away from your beloved country or right here, are the feelings the same for a man, young or older? I am still engross in my CW reading and with many ?s but it seems I feel better at answering my questions after the initial feelings of: anger, disappointment, disgust, etc., wears down. But when I'm able to I will return to pummel you all with my dreadful thoughts - grin. Just a few more books and I'll still be a CW novice compared to the minds of my experienced CWers. GRIN --Manaia PS: "HI" Ted!
