Jennifer, Company B was known as the "Men of Yadkin." This company was raised in Yadkin County and enlisted at Yadkinville on October 16, 1861. It was mustered into state service at Camp Mangum, near Raleigh, on December 31, 1861, and was assigned to this regiment as Company B.
