    2. mta4266.mail.bf1.yahoo.com rejected your message to the following email addresses: babalonse85@yahoo.com<mailto:babalonse85@yahoo.com> Your message couldn't be delivered. When Office 365 tried to send the message, the external email server returned the error below. This is probably due to a problem or policy setting on the recipient's email system. Check the error for information about the problem. The error might tell you what went wrong and how to fix it. For example, if it says the message was blocked due to a potential virus, try sending the message again without attachments. For Email Admins This error was reported by an email server outside Office 365, and if the sender is unable to fix the problem by modifying their message then it's likely that it's a problem that only the recipient's email admin can fix. 1. Check the error for information about the problem. The error might tell you what went wrong and provide clues for how to fix it. For example, if it says the message was rejected due a Sender Policy Framework (SPF) issue then you'll have to work with your domain registrar to properly configure your SPF record. 2. Check the error for information about where the problem is happening. For example, look for a domain name like contoso.com. This tells you which organization was responsible for the error. The recipient's email server could be causing the problem, or it could be due to a third-party service that your organization or the recipient's organization is using to process or filter email messages. 3. If you can't fix the problem, contact the responsible party's email admin. This could be the recipient's email admin, your smart host service admin, or someone similar. Provide them with the error code and error message from this non-delivery report (NDR) to help them troubleshoot the issue. Unfortunately, Office 365 support is unlikely to be able to help with these kinds of externally reported errors. mta4266.mail.bf1.yahoo.com gave this error: Remote server returned an error -> 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account (babalonse85@yahoo.com) [-5] - mta4266.mail.bf1.yahoo.com Diagnostic information for administrators: Generating server: BL2NAM02HT062.mail.protection.outlook.com babalonse85@yahoo.com mta4266.mail.bf1.yahoo.com Remote Server returned '550 5.0.350 Remote server returned an error -> 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account (babalonse85@yahoo.com) [-5] - mta4266.mail.bf1.yahoo.com' Original message headers: Received: from BL2NAM02FT006.eop-nam02.prod.protection.outlook.com (10.152.76.56) by BL2NAM02HT062.eop-nam02.prod.protection.outlook.com (10.152.77.39) with Microsoft SMTP Server (version=TLS1_2, cipher=TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA384_P384) id 15.20.653.8; 1. [CIRCUS-FOLK] BROWN - TOURNAIRE
    2. Caroline Cavanagh
    3. Looking for a vaulter/equestrian named BROWN who married Sarah SAUNDERS, an equilibrist, around 1820 in England. She was daughter of my ancestor Abraham Saunders, circus proprietor. References say their descendants took the surname TOURNAIRE (or Tournnaire, or similar) and were performers in the USA. However, I have researched the Tournaires and they do not appear to have early links with Brown (Madame Tournaire married Mr Brown in the late 1800s, but that is far too late for my search). Thanks for replies. Caroline Cavanagh Searching SAMWELL SAUNDERS www.samwellcircus.com

    1. [CIRCUS-FOLK] Gustav BRAYER & Julia BRAYER (nee ORLOVA)
    2. Lindsay Graham
    3. This couple (with their young baby) are believed to have left Astrakhan, Russia in 1917 and travelled through Iran and India to Malaya/Singapore, arriving there in the mid-1920s. It is also possible that they travelled to Australia in the later 1920s and were in the Canberra region when Parliament was opened in 1927 (but then again, that could all be a family urban myth <g>). Throughout this period, they are reputed to have been circus performers, Gustav on bottles and Julia on mandolin or zither. Has anyone come across any record of either of them? In particular, does anyone have a copy of Mark St Leon's CD 'Circus and travelling showmen' published in 2009? If yes, could you please check to see whether there is a mention of either of them? Besides being married to Charles Levine aka Charles Asburn, and having a son, Charles Wilson Asburn, who was also a performer, she married at least twice more; Lewis A. Howard 1914 in Illinois and Isaac Driver (aka possibly Art Norman), 1917, in New York. She died, according to her son, in 1924. Lewis A. Howard was considered the fastest lightning crayon artist. 1. [CIRCUS-FOLK] Davis Richards equestrian
    2. Hi I am new to the list. I am hunting information about my second great uncle Davis Richards Born Davis Richards Weaver 8 Jul 1828 in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The earliest record of his performance in the circus was in 1852. "Rufus Welch: America’s Pioneer Circus Showman By Richard W. Flint. Bandwagon, Vol. 14, No. 5 (Sep-Oct), 1970, pp. 4-11. In 1852, I strolled casually out of the house after dinner one pleasant Saturday afternoon. Once around the corner, I girded up my lions and ran four miles to a neighboring town, saw the combined forces of Raymond & Co's and Herr Driesbach's Menageries and Welch's Circus (Welch's National was traveling on another route) and was able to amble gayly into the yard with a pole and a small string of fish in hand barely in time for supper. I caught the fish in the morning though and kept them fresh in a tub of water at a friendly neighbors. Langworthy was ringmaster; Bobby Williams and E. Davis clowns; Davis Richards, bareback rider; McFarland, principal tumbler; Cadwalder, four horse rider; L. J. Lipman, scenic rider; J. Sweet and a yellow dog did the Indian act, and Driesbach and Hideralgo performed the lions and tigers. Had there been a female rider, I would have wagered that this was the best traveling circus I ever attended. (1) (1) Charles L. Briarmead, "The American Circus,'" New York Clipper, xxiii (17 April 1875.)" He preformed thought the US with Herr Driesbach and Mabie & co US Circus- 1853, winter of 1855-56 performed on stage in New York City, Jim Myers 1856 until early 1858 when he went to England with Howe's and Chushing's Great American Circus. We have a card sent by him to his mother "as he appeared before the Queen and Royal Family at the Alhambra Palace Circus London 14 May 1858" Davis never returned to the US but toured England and Europe until his death when he fell from his horse during a performance in Saint Petersburg Russia on 15 Nov 1866. He married Louisa Nye in London 28 May 1860 and had three Children Julia Alice born 25 May 1861 London, William Davis, (Billy) born 27 Jul 1864 ?, Ernest Richard, 6 Jan 1866 Berlin, Germany. 3. Junior I went into GenealogyBank's archive of historical newspapers and found a few articles on Jake Mills. If you don't already know about it, there is an interesting article in the Aug. 10, 1973 Cleveland Plain Dealer, pg. 59, written by Carl Kovac ~~ titled, "U. Hts. man found life a circus." It talks about how he got involved in the circus and how his name, Jake Mills, was made up because he had run away at the age of 12 and was trying to evade the truant officers. It's a good biographical account of his life. If you don't have access to GenealogyBank, you could find it through the local library. The same newspaper has a few other articles on the circus, but no obit for Jake. I also found in the Public Tree section on Ancestry that he died Dec 27, 1975 in Miami, Fl. There was no other information. Went back to GenealogyBank and this time found his obit in the Dec. 29, 1975 Plain Dealer, page 46. Again, if you can't access this online, the library or newspaper should be able to help you. 3. I am new to the list and am looking for advice on finding any information on the working life of my gt gt grandfather John Alexander Fraser 1814 [Westminster] - 1884 [Lambeth]. In 1846 he was in Finsbury & according to his 1st son's baptism [2nd marriage] was an equestrian. He was in Newington by Nov 1851 & in 1861 in Lambeth, where the census has equestrian clown. In 1871 he was a shoemaker & 1881 labourer with wife as head of household. He died in the workhouse. I cannot find him in 1841 or 1851. His marriage certificate 1845 has him as a watchmaker by which I think he meant a brass finisher as were most of his children. His children's marriage certificates describe him as - equestrian, professional actor and decorator. What circus were there in the areas? I know of the one at Vauxhall. Any help or advice welcome. Cheers Jo

You may already have some or all of it, but when I try to help someone, I need to copy down the info that I find [so I do not have to back track] and I usually just send it all so you can take what you need or want. Sharon Lewis apparently has a brother or a half brother?? I am searching fro my father's father. I know he is probably deceased (since my father Raymond is 80 years old now). All that I know is that my Dad was born in 1924 to Joshua Lewis Barton and Margurite Chandler. Soom after Margurite took my father to the west coast at 5 years old. And then destroyed all photos and records if his father. The only rumours about Joshua was that he either worked as a mechanic or I found on reference to the Barton Brother's Circus from Chester PA. We want to know if we might have more relatives in PA or elsewhere and anything info about the life of Joshua Lewis Barton. Thanks for any help you might be able to give! Billy Barton and I were partners from 1960 thru 1967. I have tons of stories and memorabilia about this remarkable man but remembering specific dates is a little difficult. That was so long ago. Every time he played Los Angeles she would attend and he would introduce her. He was invited to her home on each trip and there's a book's worth of stories about that relationship. Billy adored Mae - I have an original sketch of her by Billy who also wrote several of her skits. I did anything and everything during those seven years with Billy. I worked his cloud swing act from the ground and announced many of the shows he was on. I was his primary booking agent however with Billy you were never the PRIMARY anything. I was more of a buffer to negotiate favorable contracts, My God what a flood of memories. I was with Billy during the filming of Jumbo where I met the unbelievable character Barbette.
