Mason Chumley settled in Dawson Co., GA and appears to have died there between 1860 and 1870. His wife is believed to have been Mary (Polly) Mullinax. Among his children were a son Thompson Chumley and a daughter Mary Chumley who married in 1841, Hugh Whitmore. Their marriage license was granted in Hall Co., GA, but executed in Jackson Co., GA.
